AREEJ‘ was the face of Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbye” music video and being a West London born Sudanese artist, AREEJ lives to break stereotypes and encourage more people from her culture to embrace their talent and creativity too.

With influences from Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, it’s difficult to put a stamp on AREEJ’s music and tie her to a specific genre as she sets out to ride her own wave. Her music is the epitome of her badass London vibe with a captivating new jazz and soul feel.

Her hypnotizing new single “Undercover Lover” was produced by Novo who produced Kojey Radical and Ghett’s ‘Mood’.  With lyrics “I am a token Trojan horse, I need my roses and my swords” Areej sets to write music which speaks to your alter ego. She wants her “music to be an experience making listeners feel like they have never felt before and feel reinvented with every song”.
