There’s a lot of stuff happening around the globe and this new brand, Holographic Fantasy, is one of our favorite projects on 2017. Their garments were created to represent the antithesis of the current global position on fashion. From NY to the world here’s the new lookbook shot by the photographer Eva Zar. We talked with the brand’s designer so check it out.

WHAT’S HOLOGRAPHIC FANTASY ABOUT?
Holographic Fantasy is concept brand rooted in consumer awareness, currently concentrating on home goods, body care and clothing.
YOUR BRAND’S BLOG HAS A LOT ABOUT SELF-CARE, WHY IS THAT?
I think self-care is something that is so regularly disregarded, especially in metropolitan environments like NYC. Each piece I make comes back to the idea of cultivating a sense of comfort within the consumer inspiring them to nourish themselves and in turn have the energy to tend to the world around them.
DO YOU FEEL REPRESENTED BY SOMEONE NOWADAYS?
To be honest I don’t feel very represented by most brands and individuals these days. I think that’s a huge driving force of my work – creating a representation for people who resonate with what I do.
WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO START A BRAND OR A NEW PROJECT?
I think the most important thing to keep in mind when starting a new project or beginning a brand is to remember the core, the idea that everything came from. You’ve got to remember what’s important to you at the end of the day, and make sure that your concepts, material choices, means of advertising etc all fit into what this piece of work is intended to represent.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR HF?
The next step is to take part in the more local pop-up shops and begin to stock some pieces in local stores. I hope to open my own shop within the next few years, we shall see! Just going with the flow, for now. <3
